Who built this
DisputeTheCharge is a consumer-protection tool. We built it because disputing a charge at your bank is harder than it should be — the portals are confusing, the phone trees are long, and most people don't know they have federal protections that back them up.
We're not a law firm and we don't give legal advice. What we do is explain the process clearly, write the letter for you in plain language, and point you to the right channel at your bank — so you can file a dispute in minutes rather than hours.
The sister site, MysteryCharges, handles the identification side — for when you see a charge you don't recognize and want to know what it actually is before deciding whether to dispute it.
Both tools are independent. We don't take referral fees from banks. We don't sell your data. The business model is simple: some tools are free, the generated letter costs a small flat fee.
